Marketing Copywriter and PR Specialist


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum experience of two (2) years in copywriting and PR


  • Writes, edits and develops promotional material, product descriptions and press releases, creating customer focused copy with the appropriate tone and voice
  • Reviews, proofreads and edits catalogs, flyers, newspaper ads, user manuals, and other internal and external marketing materials for grammar
  • Ensures all marketing materials maintain a high level of quality and observes brand consistency and in compliance with corporate standards
  • Creates new positioning, messaging strategies, brand promise, mission statement and document templates
  • Conducts customer interviews, plan and direct broadcast content for local radio, print and television opportunities; cultivates original story ideas and topics for national and local publications
  • Works with the entire marketing department in executing and communicating campaigns designed to increase sales, profits and top of mind awareness with new and / or existing customers
  • Partners with sales team to develop collateral and branding programs, create strategic marketing campaigns, advertising, workshops and tradeshow/ events per business unit
  • Attends product demos, events and workshops to fully understand all new and existing products and services to deliver marketing campaigns and print advertising programs that increase the number of leads, customer reach, and sales
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders and promote a positive company image


  • Ability to create and manage advertising budgets and activities
  • Must be a team-player, and work closely with marketing, sales, graphic / production team
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be flexible and can work under pressure
  • Should manage time and ensure all projects meet deadlines
  • Experience in creating content for B2B print ads as well as knowledge in traditional marketing strategies will be an advantage
